Event Info/Group History
RAWSISTAZ
Literary Group was established in September 2000 and is
committed to the support and promotion of books by, for and about African-Americans.
We currently have an online
book club, an online literary
hang-out for readers and writers with approximately 700 members across the country, a
review team called The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers with a repository of over 7000 reviews, and
local chapters in ten major cities across the United States. In addition are our
free site services for authors and interaction on Facebook and Twitter. RAWSISTAZ is making an impact on the literary world and
continues to promote literature in a positive, uplifting way.
The RAWSISTAZ Affair is our
readers and writers conference/reunion with our online and offline groups, avid
readers, writers, and other literary friends. This year we will celebrate 10
years of literary excellence and will hold our 8th annual event in Atlanta, GA.
**It will also be the last year we
do The RAW Affair in its current format.
